What you can expect from Recalibrated to ensure safe consultations
- We will be using appropriate PPE gear and Latex free gloves.
- Only one person will be allowed into the consultation room.
- All patients are advised not to bring family members to appointments – only where a chaperone is required.
- No one will be allowed to sit in the waiting room. Anyone accompanying a patient must wait outside the clinic.
- Over 70’s need a risk assessment. A case history will be conducted over the phone before making an appointment for treatment.
- We will take your case history and physical examination while maintaining appropriate distancing and our treatment will be as efficient as possible.
- Every patient will be required to wash their hands or use hand sanitiser thoroughly before entering and leaving the clinic.
- You will need to complete an online patient questionnaire before arrival. This form is attached to your appointment confirmation email.
- Our osteopaths will not be working if they are unwell or exhibit flu like symptoms.
Contact Tracing
The Ministry of Health (MOH) may require us to pass on your contact details for the purpose of contact tracing. By booking an appointment with us you are consenting to Recalibrated Osteopathic Care to provide personal details to the MOH if requested.
Additional Disinfecting Measures we are taking.
- All hard surfaces: door handles, treatment tables, desks, tables, chairs will be wiped after each consultation.
- Eftpos machines will disinfected before and after every patient is treated in the clinic. Please use contactless payment as first option and we can email you an invoice for online payment.
- The bathroom will be disinfected after each patient, please only use the bathroom if it is urgent – we will wash the bowel, toilets seat, and basin. Paper towels are to be used in bathrooms and will be disposed of safely and regularly throughout the day.
- Towels / linen have been removed from treatment tables. Hard surfaces will be disinfected after each patient and the pillow and or pillowcase changed. As per usual our paper towels will be used and disposed of carefully after each patient.
Your Appointment
- Clothing - please wear comfortable clothing or gym gear
- Waiting room - we ask that you maintain social distancing in the waiting area. We will come collect your when we are ready.
- PPE Gear - if you have your own masks we ask you to please bring these to your appointment
- Parking & entrance to building is via Dilworth Ave (corner of Remuera Road)
- Wheel chair accessible
- Please bring any information from ACC, Scans or X-ray reports
